How to use Meijer Mealbox

I find that many of the people I talk to know nothing about Meijer Mealbox. This is my attempt to help you save money using the Mealbox.

You can see a copy of the Mealbox at the bottom of this page. To save with it, follow these step-by-step directions:

1. Either use the Mealbox at the bottom of this page, or use the Mealbox from the Meijer homepage. Using the one below will let you stay on the same page and not have to switch back and forth.

2. On the Mealbox click the "Specials" tab below the red exclamation point/spoon thing in the Mealbox logo. This should bring you to a list of current coupons available.

3. If you see a coupon that interests you, click the "Add to shopping list" link next to it. Then click OK on the small popup. Continue to pick out the coupons that are of interest to you. Make sure you click on the different pages available. (As I write this, there are four. Yesterday there were only three.)

4. When you have selected the coupons that you want, click the "Shopping List" tab next to the "Specials" tab you selected earlier.

5. You will now have a list of the Mealbox coupons you have chosen. Click "Print List"

6. You now have a few choices. You can print a shopping list, coupons, or recipes. For this tutorial we will be printing coupons. Uncheck the shopping list box so only coupons is checked.

7. You now have two more choices. You can print the coupons directly to your printer or you can print as a pdf. Personally, I prefer printing as a pdf. It makes it easy to print multiple copies of a coupon sheet or even save it to print later. Saving is never a bad idea as the coupons available change often.

8. Cut out your Mealbox coupons after they have printed and save some money! It is important to remember that Meijer allows you to stack one manufacturer coupon with one Mealbox coupon for each item. I have found that it depends on the Meijer if they will let you use more than one Mealbox coupon in a transaction for a particular item, so there's a little bit of a learning curve here.
